BeMoved is a new dance fitness experience designed by Sherry Zunker for adults of all movement abilities. Classes begin with easy-to-follow therapeutic movements that integrate the upper and lower body. The warm up flows into dance styles inspired by a wide variety of musical genres. A core-strengthening exercise class. At PilatesPlus, Teresa and Rachel combine the classical Pilates exercises (performed on a mat on the floor) with the latest advances in movement science. The class pace is moderate with careful instruction so you are able to develop a deeper understanding of the core muscle work while gaining strength & mobility. Props intensify the work or offer modifications to suit an individual’s particular needs.
Barre Fitness is a conditioning workout that combines ‘barre’ (the handrail used in Ballet classes) exercises with the core work and alignment of Pilates. The Barre is used for balance while other props (such as light hand weights, bands, and rings) are used for strengthening and stretching. Uptempo, upbeat music & movements also bring in a cardio element to class. Our playlist changes weekly and ranges from jazzy Electronica to fabulous Disco classics, with selections often borrowed from BeMoved®.

Vinyasa and Gentle Yoga
