T'ai Chi introductory workshops

With Robin Ungar

Saturday, September 16 & 23

4:00–5:15 pm

Be still as a mountain, move like a great river. *

T’ai Chi is a deep meditative, movement practice that originated in China in the late 1500s.  It was developed for both defensive training and for its health benefits. It became more popular in the US beginning in the 1960s. This workshop will provide some historical and philosophical context to the modern practice of t’ai chi. You will experience some of the basic movements essential to it’s practice and learn how it can help to bring important balance into your life.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Practice can be done barefoot, with socks, or dedicated in-door shoes.
